Humidity Indicator Cards

Humidity indicator cards are impregnated with a cobalt chloride solution that has been carefully mixed to change color as the relative humidity (RH) changes. While not an exact reading of the RH in a sealed environment, they are very useful for telling the user the maximum possibility of humidity in a container. For example, if all of the dots on a card that has 10%-60% listed, then you can be assured that the RH in the container is below 10%. Had the dot at 40% been a pinkish color, you would then know that the RH is in the 40% range. Any products that could be affected by that amount of moisture in the air need to be removed immediately and placed in another container OR you will need to change out the desiccant in order to drop the RH to a suitable level once again.
